The terms for using this site

Plain words. This covers using yellowtradie.com and joining the early access list. It does not cover using the app, which will have its own terms before it launches.

Who you are dealing with

This site is run by YellowTradie, the trading name of a sole trader based in Wales, United Kingdom. Written as "we" and "us" below. You can reach us at hello@yellowtradie.com.

Using the site

Read it, share the link, use the calculator with your own numbers. That is what it is for, and it costs nothing.

What we ask in return: do not copy the site's words or design and pass them off as your own, do not scrape the signup list, and do not do anything that breaks the site or interferes with anyone else using it. The name YellowTradie, the logo and the words on these pages belong to us.

The numbers on the missed call calculator

The calculator adds up your own two figures: the calls you miss a week and what a job is worth to you. The answer is arithmetic, not a quote, not a promise and not a forecast. It does not know your trade, your area or your customers. Take it as an illustration, not as earnings.

Early access

Joining the list asks for three things: your name, your business name and your email. It costs nothing, it commits you to nothing, and there is no obligation to try the app when your turn comes. You can come off the list at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any message, and we do not sell or pass your details to anyone else. What we do with your details is written out in full on the privacy page.

What early access is not. It is not a contract to supply anything, it is not a booking, and it does not guarantee you a place. We are letting people in a few at a time so we can answer every message properly, and we may change what is built, change the order, delay it or stop. Nothing is owed if that happens, and you are owed nothing for joining.

If you are let in: the app is unfinished and given to you to try, at no cost, so you can tell us what gets in the way. Treat anything it tells you as a starting point and check it yourself. The price of the app when it launches is not set, and no price is promised or locked by joining the list. The app's own terms will apply once you are using it.

What we do not promise about this site

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be up, always be right, or be free of mistakes. The features described on these pages are the plans for a product still being built, and they may change before it goes on general release. If something on the site turns out to be wrong, tell us and we will correct it, which we would rather do than argue about it.

When we are not responsible

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

Beyond that, we are not responsible for loss of profit, loss of business or loss of earnings, and we are not responsible for decisions you take on the strength of what is on this site. The calculator figures are yours, the tradesperson reading them is you, and the judgement that comes out is yours too.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If something goes wrong, talk to us first at hello@yellowtradie.com. If that does not settle it, the courts of England and Wales are the place for it. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away the rights the law gives you.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it and the change is written up on What's new. Carrying on using the site after a change means the new version applies.
