YellowTradie against YourTradebase
YourTradebase is a UK trade app that puts paperwork first. It covers quotes and invoices and jobs and scheduling with a simple layout that many traders like. It has no contracts and a clear price, and that ease is its strength. This comparison starts there. If you want a simple monthly bill and tools you can learn in one sitting, YourTradebase is a strong choice.
Our verdict is that YourTradebase is the better fit for a trader who wants a low monthly bill with no extras to learn, and YellowTradie is the better fit for a person on their own who wants the quote to write itself from speech and the records to stay on the phone. The table is for that one person.
Prices checked on 24 October 2026. YellowTradie checked on yellowtradie.com/pricing.html. YourTradebase checked on yourtradebase.com/pricing on the same day.

What YourTradebase does better
YourTradebase keeps the whole thing simple. One price, no contracts, and a price per extra user that is easy to budget. You can pay monthly or take the annual option that gives two months free. For a trader who wants to know the bill and then get on with work, that clarity is helpful. Our price is flat at £19.99 a month for one person, with no option to add a second login at all, because the app is built for one person on one phone.
It also has more web access. You can work from phone and desktop and keep quoting and scheduling in step. YellowTradie is phone first, with a sheet export when you need a copy outside the phone. If you do most quotes at a desk, that desk view will matter.
YourTradebase has been sold at one UK price for years. Traders know what they pay. Traders know what VAT is added. It offers the full app in the trial with no card, which makes a first try feel low risk. We ask for a card to start the trial, and the app is not in the shops yet.
Questions
What does YourTradebase cost for a solo trader today
On yourtradebase.com/pricing checked on 24 October 2026, YourTradebase is £29 a month, plus VAT. Each extra user is £15 a month, plus VAT. If you pay for a year you get 2 months free. A 30 day free trial is offered with no card needed. YellowTradie checked the same day is £19.99 a month, one plan, 14 days free with a card.
Can I add a second person
With YourTradebase you can. The base account is £29 a month and each extra user is £15 a month. YellowTradie has no second login. One person on one phone is the whole product.
Does YourTradebase write the quote from speech
No. You build the quote by picking items and typing. YellowTradie can fill the quote while you talk on site, with each sentence going to Materials or Labour or Travel or Additional charges. You can still type in the same form if there is no signal.
How does each app handle card payments
Both let a customer pay by card. YourTradebase includes card payments in the plan. YellowTradie keeps bank transfer as the main way today, with the invoice number as the reference. Card payments by tap are planned and the payment page says so.
What happens if I cancel
In YellowTradie the records stay on your phone and do not leave the device. Cancelling stops the payment and leaves quotes and invoices where they were. In YourTradebase the records are in the cloud, so you need an export if you leave. The account can fall back to a free set of limits. Check the terms on their site for how trial data is kept after you stop.
Is VAT added on top
For YourTradebase, yes. The price page says prices are subject to VAT. For YellowTradie, the £19.99 a month is the price shown on yellowtradie.com/pricing.html. If VAT applies to the store purchase, the store shows it at checkout.
