YellowTradie against Tradify
Tradify is a strong product and it has more users than any other trade job app in the UK and New Zealand. It covers quoting and jobs and invoicing, and it adds team tools and trade certificates and links to accounting. That scale is its strength and this comparison starts there. If you run a team or you need those extra parts today, Tradify is the more set up choice.
Our verdict is that Tradify is the better fit for a small team that wants one suite, and YellowTradie is the better fit for a person on their own who wants the quote to write itself from speech and the records to stay on the phone. The table is for that one person.

What Tradify does better
Tradify has a web app as well as a phone app, so the same jobs can be run from a laptop in the office while the crew is on site. We are phone only, and that is on purpose for a solo trader, but anyone who wants a big screen view will find their way easier there.
Tradify is further along on team work. It can hold extra logins, show who did what, and give work to a subcontractor. YellowTradie has one login and cannot pass a job on. If you have even one other person you pay, that difference will matter most weeks.
It also has parts we do not try to match. Certificates and forms that trades must file, a purchase order page, and live links to Xero and QuickBooks and MYOB. Our links are still being built and the site says so. A bookkeeper who wants a direct feed today will be better served there.
Those are real gaps on our side and they are not small. Tradify has been building them for years and it has more staff answering support calls while we are one address in Wales at support@yellowtradie.com.
Questions
What does Tradify cost for a solo trader today
On the UK page checked on 24 October 2026, Tradify is £34 a month on Lite, £37 on Pro, and £44 on Plus, each per user per month. A solo trader at the lowest plan pays £34 a month. A 14 day trial is offered and needs no card to start. YellowTradie checked the same day is £19.99 a month, one plan, 14 days free with a card.
Can I keep using a laptop in the office
With Tradify you can. It has a web app for the office and a phone app for site. YellowTradie keeps jobs on the phone, with a sheet export for the accountant. The customer link is the only page a customer opens outside the phone.
Does YellowTradie have team features
No. One person on one phone is the whole product. There is no second login and no way to give a job to someone else. If you run a crew of two or more, choose a product that is built for a team.
How does each app handle a deposit
Both do. In YellowTradie you set the deposit on the quote and the bill for it is raised when the customer approves, with the balance on the main bill. In Tradify you can take deposits and do progress billing, which is included on the Pro plan and above.
What happens to my records if I cancel
In YellowTradie the records stay on your phone. Cancelling stops the payment and does not delete a quote or an invoice, because we never held a copy. In Tradify the records are in the cloud, so you need an export if you leave. Check the terms on their site for how long trial data is kept after you stop.
Do I need accounting software with either one
Not to keep the tax figures. Both keep money in and money out. Tradify moves bills and payments and contacts into Xero and QuickBooks and MYOB without typing them again. YellowTradie exports a sheet for the accountant and the live links are being built. If a direct feed is a must today, that will be the deciding point.
