The app for one tradesperson

YellowTradie is a phone app for UK tradespeople who work alone. It is the trading name of a sole trader based in Wales.

The problem

At the end of a day on site, the paperwork starts. Quotes typed at the kitchen table. Bills that need chasing. The work is done, but the evening goes on the admin.

The approach

You speak the job. The app writes the quote with your own rates and your own words. The job, the bill and the costs stay together, so the same details are not typed twice.

The app is built for one person working alone on one phone. There are no staff logins and no shared inbox.

What it does

• Speak a job and get a priced quote to check and send.
• Keep the job, the photos, the notes and the costs in one place.
• Turn the job into an invoice and chase what is owed.
• Keep the figures for your quarterly tax and your CIS record.
• Give the customer a link to their quote or bill.

What it costs

£19.99 a month. One plan, everything in the app. The first 14 days are free and a card is needed to start. The app is not in the shops yet, so the trial starts the day it opens. The questions page has the answers to the rest.

What it is not

It is not a CRM or an accounting package. It is not built for a team. It does not answer your phone.

Where we are

The app is being finished. It has no account and no shop listing yet, so nobody can download it today. When it opens, the people on the early access list hear first. There are no customer stories on this site because there are no customers yet.
