Who is responsible

YellowTradie is the trading name of a sole trader based in Wales, United Kingdom, and is the data controller for this website. That means YellowTradie is the one responsible for your information and the one to contact about it.

Email hello@yellowtradie.com about anything on this page: a question, a request, or a complaint.

The early access list

One form on this site: the Get early access pop-up. It asks for three things.

• Your name, so emails are not addressed to nobody.
• Your business name, so we know which trade you are in and what to ask you about.
• Your email address, so we can send you the invite and answer you.

That is all it takes and all it keeps. No phone number, no address, no payment details, no card. Nothing is asked for as a condition of anything else, and there is no obligation to join.

Why we are allowed to hold it. You gave it to us, plainly, to hear about early access. In law that is consent, and you can take it back at any time by emailing us or by using the unsubscribe link in any message.

How long we keep it. Until early access is over and the app is open to everyone, or until you ask to come off the list, whichever comes first. Ask and it goes, and we confirm when it is gone.

Where it goes

The form is delivered by Formspree, a form service. Their servers are in the United States, so your details are transferred there and back to reach us, under the standard contractual clauses that cover that kind of transfer. Formspree is not allowed to use your details for their own marketing and does not sell them. The email lands in a normal email mailbox, which is the second place your details sit, also in the United States.

Nobody else. No mailing list platform, no advertising network, no data broker, no partner. Your details are not sold, rented or shared with anyone else for any purpose, and they are not used to profile you or to build an advertising audience.

The screens on this website show the app running with sample data. There is no real customer on this site, and none of your details appear anywhere on it.

Cookies and the visit counting

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits: how many people look at the site, which pages get read, and roughly which part of the country they come from. It is the only thing on this site that sets a cookie.

The two cookies, exactly. _ga is a short random number that tells one browser apart from another, so a returning visitor is not counted twice. _ga_DZZT654SCD does the same job for this particular property. Both are first party, both sit on the yellowtradie.com domain, both last 400 days, and neither one holds your name, your email or anything you have typed. Google Analytics does not store the IP address of visitors in the UK, and the advertising features are off, so this is counting, not advertising.

Why this is allowed without a consent box. Since 5 February 2026, UK rules no longer require consent for first party analytics cookies whose only job is to measure how a website is used so it can be improved. What the rules do require is that you are told clearly what the cookies are for, and that you can say no easily and for nothing. Those two things are below.

How to say no. Three ways, any of them free:

• Turn visit counting off in this browser with the switch below. It works straight away and it stays set.
• Use Google's own opt-out add-on for your browser, which turns this counting off on every site that uses it.
• Set your browser to block cookies from other sites. It is in your browser's privacy settings.

What we can and cannot see

The visit counting shows totals and patterns: how many people came, which page they read, roughly which town. It does not show who you are, and it is not joined up to the early access list. Joining the list does not tell us anything about your visit, and reading the site does not tell us you have joined.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or have it sent to you in a file. You can object to us holding it at all, and you can take back your consent. Email hello@yellowtradie.com and we will answer within one month, normally much sooner, and it costs nothing.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather hear from you first, but it is your call.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over a secure connection, the details sit in a mailbox with two-step sign in switched on, and no one outside YellowTradie has access to it. If a breach ever happened that put anyone at risk, we would tell the people affected and the ICO, as the law requires.

Changes to this page

When something here changes, the date at the top changes with it and the change is written up on What's new. Nothing on this page is allowed to quietly drift from what the site actually does.
