How we compare
We sell one of the two in every comparison on this site. That is why this page exists and why it comes first.
What we check
We check what the product does for a solo tradesperson who runs the whole job from a phone. Quotes, jobs, invoices, the diary, the customer's answer, chasing, costs, hours and the tax figures. We check it in the app itself where we can, and on the rival's own help pages where the detail lives.
We do not guess what a button does. If we cannot open it, we say so.
What we price check and on what date
Every price in every table is read off the rival's own pricing page on the day the page is written. The table carries the date so you can open the same page and see if it has moved. Prices on this site are checked on 24 October 2026.
YellowTradie is one plan. It is £19.99 a month, 14 days free, card needed. The app is not in the shops yet. The 14 days start the day it opens.
For Tradify we read the UK page at tradifyhq.com/uk/pricing on 24 October 2026. For a spreadsheet we record that it has no price because you already have it in Excel or Google Sheets or Numbers.
If a price cannot be checked on that day, the row says so rather than filling in an old figure. We do not carry a price forward from memory.
What we do not compare
We do not compare team features. YellowTradie is for one person. There is no second login and no way to give a job to someone else. A table that scored us on dispatch or staff rotas would not be honest about what we are for.
We do not compare compliance certificates. We do not issue them and a comparison would be a promise we cannot keep.
We do not compare reviews or counts of customers. We have no users to count and we will not invent them. The trust on a comparison page is the date on the price and the check you can repeat.
That we sell one of them
Every comparison names a winner in Our verdict and says when YellowTradie is the better fit. It also has a section called What they do better, which sets out where the other product is ahead. That section is there because it is fair and because a comparison without it is not worth reading.
If a feature we describe is not live yet, the page says so in plain words. Card payments are an example. They are parked behind Mollie Tap and the payment pages say so.
How to read the table
Each row is one thing a trader does. For example a quote written by speaking and a payment taken on site. The cell says what each product does for that thing on the date checked. Where a product needs a higher plan for that thing, the row says which plan.
A link to the rival's pricing page is in Sources so you can check the price row without hunting for it.
